Tracy DeBrincat’s short story collection “Troglodyte” was awarded the 2012 Elixir Prize and published by Elixir Press in January 2014. Her novel “Hollywood Buckaroo” received the inaugural Big Moose Prize and was published by Black Lawrence Press, and the short story collection Moon Is Cotton & She Laugh All Night received a prize for innovative fiction and was published by Subito Press. She has published prize-winning short stories and poetry in literary journals from Another Chicago Magazine to Zyzzyva and authors the infrequent blog Bigfoot Lives! (www.tracydebrincat.com). She is currently working on a YA novel, “How to Kill Your Coyote.” Tracy studied at UC Berkeley with a BA in Spanish and Rhetoric and received her MA in Film Studies from San Francisco State. She is a freelance creative advertising consultant in the entertainment business and is currently developing a program to help artists perfect their creative practice. Though a San Francisco native, Tracy loves living in Los Angeles, where she and her husband are often adopted by feral cats.
